LaBoîte supports business launches in Chambéry on the brand and visibility side: concept, name, offer, identity, website, Google profile, content, announcement and first campaigns. Legal status, funding and formalities remain with the CCI Savoie, the Chambre de métiers, Initiative Savoie, your accountant and the one-stop online registry run by INPI, the French intellectual property office. Being in Chambéry ourselves, we work with you face to face, at the pace of your opening.

Anyone starting a business in Chambéry runs two projects side by side. On one side sits the file: legal status, financing plan, loan, registration. On the other sits everything the public will see on day one: a name, a logo or a shop sign, a website, a Google Maps listing, social accounts that are not empty. The first project has its own help desks; the second is often rushed in the final week, when it is too late to choose well.

Our business launch support covers that second project, and only that one. We organise it so that it keeps step with your paperwork without running ahead of it: nothing is announced until the name has been checked. Our web agency in Chambéry page presents everything else we offer in the city.

What does an agency handle when you start a business in Chambéry?

Everything that gets the business known and chosen: concept, name, offer, identity, website, Google profile, content, announcement and advertising. Legal, accounting and financing work is not part of it.

In practice, it all starts with a scoping workshop, at your home or in your future premises, and production then follows an order we agree together. Consulting writes the concept and the offer; the Studio produces the brand, the website and the content. Each piece builds on the one before, which saves redrawing a logo because the offer has shifted.

  • Concept and offer: what you sell, to whom, at what point in their week, using our offer strategy method
  • Name: a shortlist, then a first screening against domain names and existing companies, before your own search with INPI
  • Identity: logo, colours, typefaces and a few simple rules, drawing on our branding expertise
  • Website and Google profile: a handful of clear pages and a business profile ready before opening
  • Announcement and first weeks: posts, a message to your network, footage shot by our partner video crews and, once the message holds up, online advertising over a small area

To the public and non-profit networks of the area, depending on your project: CCI Savoie, the Chambre de métiers, Initiative Savoie and the Savoie Technolac incubator. Registration itself goes through the online one-stop registry.

We replace none of these bodies, and we send any founder who comes to us before finalising their financing plan straight back to them. The right first appointment depends on the nature of the business. As for formalities, they are filed on the government’s one-stop business registry, compulsory since 1 January 2023 and operated by INPI. Our Corsiva Prime case study shows how the communication side was sequenced once the groundwork was in place.

  • Retail, services or a business takeover: the CCI Savoie, the chamber of commerce in Chambéry, has a department dedicated to start-ups and takeovers
  • Craft trades: the Chambre de métiers et de l’artisanat de la Savoie, the chamber of trades, receives founders in La Motte-Servolex and Albertville, with information sessions and help with the business plan
  • Need for equity: Initiative Savoie, headquartered at Savoie Technolac, offers a free first meeting, helps finalise the financing plan and can grant an interest-free personal loan on trust, followed by mentoring
  • Innovative project: Chambéry–Grand Lac économie runs the Savoie Technolac incubator, within an entrepreneurship hub that also brings together the Village by CA des Savoie and the Université Savoie Mont Blanc
  • First office: the Côte-Rousse business centre, near the Hauts de Chambéry district, rents offices to founders of service businesses

Why write the concept before looking for a name?

Because a name is judged by what it has to carry: without a written concept, people choose by taste, and often get it wrong. The concept fits into a few sentences that everything else will echo.

Before the first suggestion, we ask for three things: the sentence that says what you do and for whom, what sets you apart from the businesses already established in the neighbourhood, and what the company might become. A caterer who may one day open a delicatessen, or a practice that will take in other practitioners, does not call for the same name as a business meant to stay on its own. Our guide to building a brand identity sets out what comes after the name.

Then comes the check. INPI recommends making sure the name is free as a trademark, as a company name and as a domain name; an exact-match search costs nothing, but the office leaves it to the applicant to interpret the results. For a name you are going to build on, an IP attorney settles the close calls and prepares the filing. On the day of the decision, we reserve the domain and social accounts in your name.

What did we learn from launching Corsiva Prime in Chambéry?

That order matters more than tools: the offer first, then the communication rules, then the website, and social media only once everything is ready. We apply this method to every new business.

Corsiva Prime is the brand of the Chambéry-based Corsiva group devoted to importing luxury cars and tailored support. We first narrowed the offer down to two services that are easy to tell apart, then wrote a one-page rulebook: the exact names, the tone, what the brand does not promise. The website came next, with a simulator, practical guides and city pages. Then followed the bio, the profile logo, the Instagram highlight covers, the first posts and the LinkedIn announcement of Prime joining the group.

An independent start-up has no group behind it, but the logic stays the same. The full story is told in the Corsiva Prime case study, and our Groupe Corsiva project shows the five brands in the family.

When to open in Chambéry, and when to start talking about it?

The date depends on your customers: back-to-school season or the run-up to year end for a town-centre shop, spring for a business geared to the lake, autumn for anything that lives off winter in the mountains. Communication is prepared several weeks ahead, with no public announcement until the name is secured.

According to the town council, the city has 1,400 shops and craft businesses, 650 of them in the town centre: a new address enters a crowded landscape, where residents compare on their phones before pushing a door open. A complete Google profile on opening day is therefore part of the launch, not an afterthought. Google lets you enter an opening date up to a year in advance, and a verified profile appears 90 days beforehand.

Grand Chambéry, the urban area, stretches from the city to the Bauges mountains, close to the Chartreuse range and Lac du Bourget: a holiday cottage, a leisure activity or an equipment rental follows the seasons there, whereas a practice or a service company tends to start in September. We build the countdown schedule backwards from that date: filming once the setting exists, website live before the announcement, campaigns just before the period when your customers decide. Our guide to how to build a professional website covers the site that has to be live first.

What goes into the communication plan for the first weeks?

Few channels, a routine you can keep up and measures agreed in advance. The plan says who posts what each week, and what we will look at in the first review.

For a business opening in Chambéry, this plan often fits on a single page: the message to send personally to your network, the posts for opening week, the photos and short videos to plan, review requests to your first customers and, if the offer already convinces in meetings, an advertising test limited to the urban area. Content for social media is ready before day one, so nobody lands on an empty account.

At the first review, we look at the enquiries received and where they came from, not at likes. Our article on vertical video for Reels and Stories helps with the short formats of those early months, and our website design in Chambéry page describes the starter site.

Frequently asked questions

Do you handle the company registration for me?

No. Legal status, registration, accounting and financing are for your accountant, the chambers of commerce and trades, Initiative Savoie and the one-stop registry. We take over on brand and visibility, timing our schedule to the progress of your file.

Can we start before finding premises?

Yes: concept, offer, name ideas and identity move forward without an address. The Google profile, photos of the venue and the shop sign wait for the signed lease.

Do you support start-ups at Savoie Technolac?

Yes, alongside the incubator: promise, name, pitch and website for technical audiences. We help settle the positioning questions first, before any design work begins.

How much does launch support cost?

It is quoted case by case, depending on the scope: what you do yourself, the extent of the identity, the number of pages, the filming and how long the follow-up lasts.

Where can we meet in Chambéry?
