LaBoîte produces corporate videos, brand films and Instagram reels in Chambéry, shot with our partner video crews. We write the script, organise the shoot at your premises, edit one version for each use and prepare publication on your website, social media and ads. As we are based in Chambéry, scouting and filming involve no long journey.
In Chambéry, a corporate video rarely serves just one audience. A town-centre shop wants to be chosen by residents who compare it with others on their phones; a young company at Savoie Technolac, the local technology park, has to explain its product to customers and investors; a club or leisure business has to make people want to come before the season starts. The film changes every time, but the method does not: it starts from the goal, then from where the video will be watched.
Our video and photography service describes the full process. This page explains what it looks like for a business in the Chambéry area, and our web agency in Chambéry page brings together everything we do in the city.
Which video suits a Chambéry business?
The one that supports your customer’s decision: visiting the shop, asking for a quote, booking, applying for a job. A shop relies on short, regular reels, a small firm on a presentation film, a seasonal business on footage shot at the right moment.
The City of Chambéry lists 1,400 shops and craft businesses, 650 of them in the town centre, and has launched the “Chambéry On y vit” platform to give them visibility. In such a dense local fabric, video shows what a photo cannot: a craftsperson’s hands at work, the atmosphere of a room, the welcome of a team. These are the formats that come up most often across the urban area:
- The shop or workshop reel: something new, a behind-the-scenes moment, a customer question, filmed as a series
- The presentation film, for a small firm that sells beyond Savoie and needs to reassure a buyer it will not meet straight away
- The recruitment video, when the company is looking for profiles that are hard to find locally
- The event film: an opening, a match, a launch, cut into a short version the next day
Which films have we already shot in Chambéry?
Two Chambéry films feature on our reels page: a reel for Corsiva, a car rental company in the city, and a film for Audi Jean Lain, shot at the dealership. The first was made with Corsiva’s own team, the second by our partner video crews.
For Audi Jean Lain, the subject was an Audi F1 wrap fitted by Cover Design on an e-tron GT: the film follows the car through the Chambéry dealership in wide horizontal shots, designed for a computer screen or a shop window. The reel for the Corsiva group follows the logic of the phone instead: vertical, short, paced by the cars in the fleet. The group then ran a video campaign on Meta, and we have written up in our journal what its figures taught us.
Our reels page gathers these films alongside other work by our partner video crews, such as the Wind Factory lookbook, the Jok’air showcase and the Bentley Continental GT. You will also find photos of Hockey Chambéry there: local sport tells its story very well in pictures, provided the club and every recognisable player give their consent.
How can reels be useful to a town-centre shop?
By designing them as a series, each with a precise action at the end, rather than as one-off videos. A well-prepared morning of filming can feed several weeks of posts.
A reel for a boutique on rue de Boigne or a café terrace on place Saint-Léger needs only a few ingredients: a strong image from the very first frame, on-screen text that reads without sound, a tight pace, then a concrete invitation, such as booking or sending a message. How these formats are shot and edited is covered in our article on vertical video; what happens after the view, from the link to the enquiry received, is the subject of another article in our journal, on reels that convert.
We build the series with you as part of our social media support: themes, publishing order, captions and subtitles. For a shopkeeper, the simplest approach is to film several episodes on the same day, outside peak hours, then publish them over the calendar while leaving room for news: a Christmas window, a Sunday opening, a new delivery.
How do you film technology at Savoie Technolac?
By showing the use before the machine: what the product changes for the customer, then the proof in the lab or workshop. When the camera cannot show everything, a few seconds of animation complete the live footage.
Chambéry–Grand Lac économie, the local economic development agency, presents Savoie Technolac, between La Motte-Servolex and Le Bourget-du-Lac, as a park of 240 innovative companies, half of them in the energy sector. These firms often have to film things that look unremarkable to the naked eye: a sensor, a piece of software, a test bench. The film then rests on a concrete case, a person who explains it in plain words, and close-up shots that give it substance.
Part of the message comes across better in motion design: an energy flow, a process, an order of magnitude. For a start-up, video is also part of the launch: our journal article on launching a start-up at Savoie Technolac helps decide what must exist before the first trade fair or the first funding round.
What rules apply when filming around Chambéry?
Get written consent from recognisable people and from whoever manages the location, then check the flight rules before any drone shot. These steps are prepared while the script is being written, not the day before the shoot.
Service-public.fr, the French government’s official information site, points out that consent must specify the medium, the purpose and the duration of use, and that simply agreeing to be filmed is not enough. In a shop, a gym or an ice rink, we therefore prepare a release for each recognisable employee, customer or player, and frame everyone else from behind or at a distance. For a minor, written consent from the parents is mandatory.
Grand Chambéry, the urban community, brings together 38 municipalities, between town, mountain, lake and vineyards, at the foot of the Bauges and Chartreuse ranges: natural backdrops are close at hand, but a drone cannot fly freely there. The French Ministry for Ecological Transition limits flight height to 120 metres in the open category, bans night flights and flights over public spaces in built-up areas, and refers pilots to a map of restrictions published with IGN, the national mapping agency. Our partner video crews check these rules for each location; in town, filming is usually done from the ground.
How does a video production from Chambéry work?
It starts with a conversation, often at your premises, then a signed-off script, a shoot with the partner video crew chosen for the project, an edit and the different versions. You receive one file per use, ready to publish.
The first meeting sets the goal, the audience and the locations. We come back with a script or shot list, and a quote. On the day, everyone knows what has to be filmed and in what order; sound gets the same care as the image. In the edit, we prepare a horizontal version for your website, subtitled vertical versions for Instagram, TikTok or YouTube Shorts and, where needed, cut-downs for ad creative.
The work continues after delivery: we can publish, reply to comments and launch online advertising using the reels that have already proven themselves. Businesses that first want to clarify their message should look at our communication agency in Chambéry page; those in Haute-Savoie will find their version on our corporate video in Annecy page.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need to come to you for the shoot?
No. LaBoîte has no published address for visitors: we come to you, at your shop, your workshop or an outdoor location, and the scriptwriting can be done by video call.
Who operates the camera?
Our partner video crews: independent professionals we work with regularly and choose for each project. LaBoîte writes, coordinates, edits and follows up on publication.
Can you shoot reels all year round?
Yes. Together we set a realistic pace, then group the shoots to produce several episodes at once, published to a calendar prepared in advance.
How much does a corporate video cost in Chambéry?
It depends on the number of filming days, the locations, the people on camera, the number of versions and the planned distribution. We draw up a detailed quote after the first conversation.
